Thanks to the efforts of the court and the Lawyers’ Committee, wireless internet (WiFi) access is now available at the Santa Rosa Bankruptcy Court.

All persons are welcome to use our wireless internet access in the public areas and the conference rooms for any reason. However, all access in the courtroom should be for court-related purposes and must be done in such a way that there are no distractions. Any computer or device which makes clicks, burbles, tones, chimes or other noises is forbidden. The first computer to cheerfully announce in open court that “You’ve got Mail!” will be immediately confiscated and redemption may prove expensive.

I encourage you to make free use of the wireless access. Like me, you can now have the entire file of all the cases at your fingertips. I ask only that you do not abuse this privilege by creating any distractions.
