Recruitment for the Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program Each year during an open application period, the Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program (BDRP) invites applications from individuals for appointment to the BDRP Panel of Resolution Advocates. The open application time period is annually posted on the Court website and in the bankruptcy courthouses of each division throughout the Northern District of California. Resolution Advocates volunteer to resolve matters referred by the bankruptcy judges of the Northern District of California to the BDRP program, and serve as members of the Panel for a one year term. The qualifications to serve as a Resolution Advocate include completion of a minimum of 40 hours of substantive alternative dispute resolution training. Additional information regarding the qualifications to serve as a Resolution Advocate and the operation of the BDRP is set forth by the Bankruptcy Local Rules.
