Please note that the following procedures must be followed in seeking to appear telephonically at hearing before Chief Judge Randall J. Newsome

Send a written request to the calendar clerk, either by mail or facsimile
(510-879-3543) stating the name of the party who wishes to appear, who he/she represents and their position in the case (i.e. secured/unsecured creditor, etc.), the case information including date and time of the hearing, and the reason a telephonic appearance is necessary.

Requests should be submitted at least five court days prior to the hearing. All requests are addressed on a case-by-case basis. The calendar clerk will contact the requesting party regarding the request. If the request is approved, the party will receive a verification number from the court. The party can then contact Court Conference at 866-582-6878, inform the representative of the approval, and coordinate the telephonic appearance with Court Conference directly.
