OAKLAND DIVISION POLICY FOR COURTESY COPIES

Courtesy copies shall be provided to chambers as provided below. A printed copy of the “Notice of Electronic Filing” shall be attached to the courtesy paper copy of the electronically filed pleading and marked “Judge’s copy.” All courtesy copies are to be submitted to the court to the attention of the Courtroom Deputy of the judge assigned to the case.

  1. In All Chapters:
    1. Chambers copies are required for fee applications with time records.
    2. Chambers copies are required for motions and exhibits which exceed 25 pages. This policy does not apply to Motions for Relief from Stay.
  1. In Adversary Proceedings:
    1. Chambers copies are required for motions and exhibits which exceed 25 pages.
  1. Motions for Relief From Stay:
    1. A chambers copy of the relief from stay coversheet must be provided in all cases.
    2. No chambers copies of the remaining papers are required regardless of length.
