Instruction re Initial Application for Compensation

When filing the Initial Application for Compensation, counsel are expected to use the district approved form found on the court's website at https://www.canb.uscourts.gov/chapter-13-attorney-fee-application.

Submitting attorney information shall be inserted in the upper left-hand corner of the face page (Civil L. R. 3-4(1)).

Per the instructions on the application, when additional initial fees are being sought, the applicant shall check the left column (X), then indicate the number of allowed instances in the (#) column, and the total amount for that item in the ($ Total) column.

The docket number of the filed Rights and Responsibilities shall be inserted "See Doc. No.____", and the application signed and dated.

Effective November 1, 2024, applications that are incomplete will receive a defective docket notation requiring a corrected application in order for the court to approve the requested compensation.
