CM/ECF Registration / Training

The Northern District of California has several types of accounts available for filing documents in CM/ECF.

Attorney Accounts

Available to attorneys who qualify in accordance with Civil LR 11-1(a), 11-2 or 11-3, as incorporated by BLR 1001-2(a). Qualified attorneys are those who are either admitted to District Court in the Northern District of California, appearing Pro Hac Vice or representing the U.S. Government. You may attend an online training exercise or request a waiver

Limited Access Accounts

Available for individuals wishing to file claims and claims related events, Resolution Advocates who would like to docket BDRP findings and other specialized accounts. You may complete the online training exercise or request a waiver. Alternatively, if you need to file a claim only you may File an Electronic Proof of Claim

Personal Financial Management Course Provider Accounts

Available for providers approved by the United States Trustee to file the Personal Financial Management Course Completion Certificate. You may complete the online training exercise or request a waiver.
