Judge Hammond’s Policy for Chambers Copies

With one exception, Judge Hammond requests that no paper chambers copies be submitted.

Where filed documents are voluminous, counsel may be requested to submit electronic chambers copies upon 24 hours’ notice. When requested, electronic chambers copies should consist of a separate PDF for each filed pleading, where possible, with bookmarks identifying each exhibit or similar attachment. For example, a declaration with voluminous exhibits should be submitted as a single PDF, with each exhibit bookmarked in the PDF as Exhibit A, B, C, etc.

The exception: Near final drafts of First Day Motions in a Chapter 11 case should be emailed to Judge Hammond’s Courtroom Deputy, Anna Rosales, Anna_Rosales@canb.uscourts.gov, once the case is assigned to Judge Hammond.
