Effective January 1, 2023, the Northern District of California |
All divisions of the Bankruptcy Court will be closed on Monday, February 19th, in observance of Presidents' Day.
In the event of a government shutdown and until further notice, all divisions will continue to operate under normal schedule, including matters set for hearing and public hours. The court's case management system (CM/ECF) and PACER, will remain available as well.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California has adopted a new Chapter 13 Plan (NDC 1-1), which becomes effective December 1, 2017. The plan and instructions are available at: http://www.canb.uscourts.gov/procedures/district
Despite a government shutdown, the federal Judiciary will remain open and can continue operations for approximately three weeks, through February 9, by using court fee balances and other funds not dependent on a new appropriation.
During this time, scheduled hearings will be held as usual, filings will be accepted, hours of operation, availability of systems, and other services will continue as normal. In the event circumstances change, the Court will provide notice of any changes to scheduled hearings and service levels.
Public Access to electronic court records is now available at the San Francisco divisional office located at 450 Golden Gate Avenue.
