Step 2 – Obtain Training Documents

Download the training PDF’s onto your computer from the attachments. The attachments are located at the bottom of the page.

(Please Note: The documents are sample documents that WILL NOT match the training case for which you have been assigned.)

 

Step 3 – Practice Assignment

 Once the all modules have been viewed, the practice assignment must be completed.>

A. Login to the Court’s training database at https://ecf-train.canb.uscourts.gov

1) Please use the PACER-Train login credentials that you have created during your registration.

2) Use the documents you downloaded in the attachments below.

3) Use the same case number you were assigned.

Note: The CM/ECF Users Manual is also available on our website to assist you with filing.

B.  File a Motion of your choice with at least two attachments.

Pay the filing Fee. (If Required)

(Training Credit Card – Visa 4111111111111111 CSV: 999 EXP DATE: Any date in the future.)

IMPORTANT:  Please use the above training credit card to pay the filing fee.
Please DO NOT use your personal credit card.  If you have any issues with
the training credit card, please contact ECF Training via email:
ecf_training@canb.uscourts.gov

C. File a Notice of Hearing related to your motion, select the hearing date as any date in the future. Select the judge that is assigned to your training case. There should be one attachment - Certificate of Service.

D. Upload a Proposed Order on your Motion.

E. File a Proof of Claim

F. Open an Adversary Proceeding (AP) with a Complaint. There should be one attachment AP Coversheet. (Notate the new AP Case Number)

Pay the filing Fee. (If Required)

G. Docket the Summons Service Executed (Use the AP Case Number).

 

Step 4 – Request Live Login

After the Practice Assignment has been completed, email the following information to: ecf_training@canb.uscourts.gov.

  1. Subject of email:             Creditor Attorney Assignment (Your Name)
  1. Body of email:                  Case Number of Practice Assignment
  1. Attach to email:                Completed Attorney Training Certification Form
